Shamrock Week 2017
February 27-March 5
The Beta Kappa Chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga will be hosting our fourth annual Shamrock fundraiser. During our Shamrock fundraiser we raise funds for our local philanthropies, the Child Advocacy Center of Hamilton County, as well as Prevent Child Abuse America. Shamrock week is an exciting week full of activities and events such as a flag football tournament, a cookout, and an auction!
Kappa Delta Sorority prides itself on our value of confidence. It affects how we interact with sisters, with our community, and most importantly the philanthropies we support. Abuse strips children of their confidence and sense of self-worth. It is our hope that by financially supporting organizations like PCAA and the CACHC the confidence that was taken from these children can be restored. The majority of the funds (80%) will stay here in our community to support the work being done by the CAC. The remaining funds will go to PCAA– the leading advocate for preventing child abuse and neglect among our nation’s children.
